This is just a quick posting to let folks know, if you have not already heard, that a new website, Backyard (BCKYRD), a local-social site has purchased CitySquares. I was very surprised about it but, things do change quickly here online.

I checked and Backyard is currently only available in a few markets and you can connect with it via Facebook. I am very curious to see what it is all about and how it will do in the local-social market. Good luck to Steve Espinosa, the world’s biggest White Sox fan and the man behind Backyard! 😉
